Circular Economy Statements.
The Circular Economy ties in closely with reducing embodied carbon. Where Circular Economy statements are required, sites must demonstrate how they are considering reusing and recycling building elements, and, in turn, how that contributes to a reduced embodied carbon footprint. Creative design and reclamation should be celebrated through a Circular Economy Statement that quantifies these types of achievements.
Whole Life Cycle Carbon Assessments.
Whole Life Cycle Carbon Assessments (WLCA) are new to the planning world, with the first widescale uptake listed in the London Plan (2021). More Local Authorities are now requesting dynamic WLCA’s at the planning stage. TwoEighty have experience in conducting WLCA’s for GLA referrable schemes comprising hundreds of units, right down to small office fit-outs. We will partner with design teams and contractors to make sure your proposed scheme uses materials that conform to latest embodied carbon requirements.
